Thank you for visiting the Wisbech Christian Spiritualist Church website. We hope that you will join us in our church in the future and enjoy our service among friends.

If you have never been inside a spiritualists' church before, you may like to know more of what spiritualists believe and what to expect during meetings.

Spiritualism is a properly constituted religion recognised by an act of parliament. Its ministers have the same rights as other religions, i.e. visiting hospitals, prisons, etc.

Spiritualists have no hard and fast rules; we believe that the human soul is immortal but, unlike other doctrines, spiritualism teaches that those living in the physical body and those living in spirit can, and do, continue to communicate with each other, and that this is a perfectly normal state of affairs, intended by a loving God for the comfort and instruction of his children.

The communication is assisted by a 'medium' - one who has the necessary extra powers of perception to undertake this task, and it is usual, in most of our services, to set aside some time for this communion to take place. Let it be quite clear, mediums do not 'call up the dead', there are no 'dead' and the living spirits come of their own volition and not at our request.

Lastly, and most importantly, spiritualism is a religion of love, at the heart of which is that 'Great Spirit' from whom all love and religions spring.
