POETRY

I walked in heaven on the day I died
Saw my dad and began to cry
I've missed you dad since you've been gone
All I could do was carry on
It was so hard it hurt so bad
Losing you my precious dad
Your beautiful memories you left behind
I was so proud my dad of mine
Then dad said cry no more I am here
To wipe away all your tears
To take care of you again
As I did all those earthly years
I love you my daughter I missed you too
It broke my heart when I left you
Your reunited now with your dad
So be happy dont be so sad
We are back together again
In heavens beautiful plane

RECENT CORRESPONDANCE

Dear Friends

Thank you for inviting me to serve your Church on Saturday 21st August 2004, and for the warm welcome that Graham and I received. It was nice to see so many people there, I am sure this helps in building the vibrations and energy, so vital for our Spirit friends to bridge the gap between our two worlds. As always, it was a lovely evening and this is thanks to your congregation in the way they give their energy for me to work.

The humour is so important to lift people’s spirits. I do hope that this does not give the impression of being disrespectful to spirit.

May I also thank those people behind the scenes, who help in opening the doors in good time, making tea and looking after people during the evening. It is of tremendous importance that we strive to help people feel at ease within our Church, and in particular new comers. These people could be the future of Spiritualism.

It has always given me pleasure to serve your Church, and I hope that I can be with your again in the future.

Yours sincerely

Mr Jim Cork

A MEDIUM'S PERSPECTIVE (Taken from the Oracle and Psychic News)

By Melanie Polley

I would like to share some of the happiness I am feeling at the moment the morning after having served Wisbech Greater World Christian Spiritualist Church with you all.

Everything about it was a joy. I arrived about half an hour early and I was welcomed warmly by John and Maureen and instantly offered a cup of tea. As a tea-aholic, this was much appreciated, especially as it takes me between two and two and a half hours to travel to Wisbech. I often arrive at Churches to find no one there to let me in and comfort breaks can be few and far between on some journeys let me tell you (!) and tea, when offered is in a half-hearted way. Not so at Wisbech.

The Services, 3pm and 6.30pm both started on time. Many Churches hold on for five to ten minutes for the stragglers. These people will never be on time if they know that everyone else will wait for them and whilst they are snuggled up in their beds at 10pm on a Sunday night, we intrepid Mediums are still driving through the night.

The Chairing was efficient and supportive and when I asked John if we had time for a quickie at the end of the evening service's Demonstration of Mediumship as I knew I was running close to time; his "Oh yes please!" brought the house down.

The congregations were warm and friendly and generated a huge amount of love and laughter. I commented several times that never had I seens so much Healing Energy being generated in a Divine Service. As a Healer, it was a joy to work in that environment.

I was given a beautiful meal between the Services and rather than counting out my expenses from the collection plate in front of everyone, which we Mediums cringingly watch so often; I was handed my petrol money in a sealed envelope, privately together with a lovely little note saying thank you.

Now, why can't more Churches be like this? The Committee is obviously dedicated to serving the community and there is loads going on with Healing, Circles, mid-week Services and Demonstrations and two Sunday Divine Services. There are charity collections and social events wherein Church Members are encouraged to share their talents, singing and giving readings.

All of these things make Wisbech Church a wonderful place to be. May I recommend it to serving Mediums and visitors alike?

Thanks, Wisbech, you made my weekend!
